The Electronic Security Association is pleased to announce that we are an approved Examination Entity for Alarm licensure by the Oklahoma Department of Labor . The Certified Alarm Technician Level I exam PLUS the Fire Alarm Installation Methods exam* meets the requirements for the OK Burglar/Commercial Fire Technician/Salesperson exam. The Electronic Access Control exam * meets the requirements for the OK Electronic Access Control Technician/Salesperson exam. The Video Systems Technology exammeets the requirements for the OK Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Technician/Salesperson exam.

Once the exams are purchased, you will receive an email providing instructions on how to scheduled the proctored exams.  The Level I, EAC, and VST exams consist of 85 multiple-choice questions. These special exams have been modified to meet the Oklahoma Department of Labor requirements. The FAIM exam is 60 multiple-choice questions and all exams will be given at a PSI Testing Center.  Visit our PSI Proctored Exam information page for more details regarding scheduling, policies for testing, and cancellation policy.

Please be aware, these are very challenging exams, and we strongly recommend training prior to testing.  For a listing of ESA/NTS training being held in Oklahoma visit our schedule page.  To help you prepare for the exams you will be shipped a CAT Level I, FAIM, EAC, and VST manual. You can choose a shipping method upon checkout. The examinations are open book so please bring the manuals with you to the proctored exams. 

NOTE: Taking these exams does not qualify you to be CAT Level I certified.  Taking and completing the ESA/NTS CAT Level I course is required for any NTS certifications.
