ESA’s National Training School (NTS) introduced five new courses for 2020. NTS is the leading provider of classroom training, online courses, and certifications for the evolving electronic security and life safety industry. Read below for a complete list of new and revised courses for this year.
Training as a Service (TaaS)– The ESA Training as a Service (TaaS) program is a customizable in-house training program to fast-track new hires and existing employees. One of today’s biggest challenges facing employers is how to find and keep employees. And with five generations making up the workforce, there is no one size fits all method of training that works any longer. Enter TaaS, the only training program of its kind in the industry.
Electronic Access Control – This course was updated to reflect modern innovations like smart phones and cloud systems within Access Control. Other major updates include updated code references and information on how to accommodate active shooter protection into your design.
Advanced Intrusion Systems – This course now has expanded sections on networking and project management as well as general updates to accommodate for new technologies. Other major updates include general code reference updates and information on different shooter detection system technologies.
Virginia Electronic Security Technician – This course presents the material necessary to meet the training requirements of the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services for the Electronic Security Technician license classification. The required Core Subjects 30E topics plus the 35E Security Technician subjects are covered in this course.
Montana Security Alarm Installer – This online course is specifically designed for those needing to meet the Montana Secretary of State – Board of Private Security’s administrative rule: 24.182.810. By the end of this course, you will understand the theory, installation and maintenance of alarm systems.
Life Safety Code – a full review and update of the course is being done to match the latest codes and standards and today’s technologies.
International Building Code – a full review and update of the course is being done to match the latest codes and standards and today’s technologies.
Understanding Electronic Security Systems – a full review and update of the course is being done to better match today’s technologies, codes and standards.
