The Electronic Access Control (EAC) course will provide you with the latest information you need to successfully design and install an electronic access control system. The primary focus of this course is to equip you with knowledge on the most common devices and methods to connect them. You will learn how to assess customer’s needs, what to look for when performing a site survey, and then how to translate the data into an effective system.

What to Expect in the Online Course: The course is delivered using a presentation style that covers the exact same content found in our instructor-led course. The presentation includes text, graphics, videos and activities to help you absorb the information presented. Each module is concluded by a knowledge checkpoint quiz to make sure you have understood the core concepts presented. The course ends with a comprehensive assessment test that you must pass with a 70% or greater to complete the course. Your time will be tracked in the course and you must spend 14 hours interacting with the course materials before you will be granted a course completion.
Course purchase includes a manual and proctored exam that must be taken with an approved proctoring service. Once your registration has been processed you will receive a training manual via ground service delivery. Your manual will arrive within 3-5 business days. Please be aware that if you need to use this course for licensing or towards one of ESA's certifications you will need to take the proctored exam with a verified proctoring service. The exam will be open book, using your course manual and is compiled of multiple-choice questions. You must pass the exam with a 70% or higher. Certification(s) available: Individuals holding a Certified Alarm Technician Level I for a minimum of 36 months, and who successfully complete the Electronic Access Control course, the Video System Technologies course and the Fire Alarm Installation Methods course are eligible for certification as a Certified Systems Integrator (CSI).
