This course is a starting point to learn more about expanding into the lucrative home theater installation business. Students will learn to: create the best home theater viewing experience possible; understand key concepts of home theater, including aspect ratios, resolution, video and audio formats, signal reproduction and power conditioning for components; and realize the features and benefits of different types of speakers, displays, projectors, screens, receivers, amplifiers, power conditioning equipment, and other components.
Students will learn to make sense of the many sources (analog, digital, cable, satellite, and stored media) and their advantages. They will learn about streaming media and the different delivery possibilities including smart TVs, individual players, and online services.
