This course is designed to provide students an overview of egress control and exit devices. This course focuses on the general requirements and provisions of Egress Control that have a direct impact on electronic access control systems and the electronic life safety and security industry. Exit devices, which restrict access while providing free egress, are designed to be installed onto the secure side of out swinging doors. After this course students will be able to identify by type the commonly used exit devices for Electronic Access Control systems.
